Step 1: Shampooing

Silky hair starts with CLEAN hair.

Shampooing removes dirt and build up on hair so that it remains silky, and tangle free. When shampooing your hair, it is important to use a sulphate free shampoo. Sulphate strips the keratin away from hair which can lead to long term damage over time and horrible split ends.

This should be done once a week

  1. Completely saturate your hair with warm, not hot, water.

  2. Apply a small amount of shampoo on your hair and work it in and massage until it lathers.

  3. Rinse your hair completely.

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 (you may also leave it to soak in shampoo for 10-15 mins)

Recommended Shampoo: Redken Mega Soft

Step 2: Conditioning

Squirt a liberal amount of conditioner into your hand.

  1. Massage it into the length of your hair, focusing on the ends.

  2. Leave the conditioner in for 30 mins minimum or longer (depending on how much time you have)

  3. Rinse your hair completely with COLD water

  4. After washing, leave to air dry or towel dry and proceed to blowdrying and styling.

Recommended Conditioner: Redken Mega Soft

Step 3: Styling

When styling and using heat, heat protectants will be your best friend. It will ensure hair dries faster and it is also protected against heat damage so your extensions last much longer.

You should straighten your hair weft by weft if you can and use the chase method.

A Hotcomb is also necessary to get a smooth and flat closure.

*The instructions will guide you on how to use*

Recommended heat protectant: Any Tresemme or John Frieda heat protectant will work well.

Recommended tools: BaByliss Straight and Curl Brilliance Straightener, Wahl Hotcomb
